Ceiling Medallions of Holy Name Cathedral

Client: Francis Cardinal George, Archbishop of Chicago and Rev. Dan Mayall, pastor of Holy Name Cathedral

In June of 2008, the Archbishop for Archdiocese of Chicago, Francis Cardinal George, requested that I design five medallions for the dome at Holy Name Cathedral.

The center medallion is 14 ft. in diameter, and the four smaller medallions are 4 ft. in diameter. Holy Name Cathedral was damaged by a fire in February of 2009 and restored once again. The Cathedral reopened for the second time on August 1, 2009.
